Sharing the joy of success

After a successful launch, handel: has helped spread Christmas cheer by donating a portion of their initial month’s profit to assisting those in need.

Positively amazed at their initial month’s revenue, handel: has shared their success by donating $4000 to the Department of Child Protection and Family Support – Joondalup District office’s annual Christmas celebration.

A division of the Western Australia Department of Communities WA, the Joondalup District Office is responsible for the delivery of child protection and family support in the Joondalup region.

Through the support of others, 2018’s celebration saw more than 320 children in care, their siblings and carers spend a day enjoying several activities at The Maze Outback Splash.

Growing up in the Joondalup area, handel: Co-Founder Brett George is well aware of the great work the Department of Communities does in the area.

“For years I have donated to the Joondalup District office’s annual Christmas celebration,” Mr George said.

“Christmas should be a joyous time for everyone, especially for foster children, their carers and extended families.

“To know I’ve helped brighten the lives of these kids, even for just one day, is deeply rewarding.

“That’s why I have been more than happy to support the celebration over the years. It’s my way of giving back.”

Fellow Founder Steve Rohloff was also more than happy to have the companies first donation go to such a worthy cause.

“To say we are thrilled with the success of our first month is putting it mildly,” Mr Rohloff said.

“Both Brett and I knew that if we were lucky enough to have people support our business then, the very least we could do is support those in need.

“With it being the festive season also, it was only fitting to endorse such a worthy event.”

Giving back to the various communities across Australia is one of Handel Group’s core values with both Co-Founders also pioneering the ed. Foundation.

In support of the ed. Foundation, the pair commits $1 from each handel: waste collection, nation-wide, with the company’s network of drivers also matching this donation dollar for dollar.
