USING YOUR FLEXiSKiP
Let’s Unpack
Today’s the day to de-clutter! Let’s grab your FLEXiSKiP out of it’s satchel (it’s super light) and lay it out flat, ready to be filled.
Setting Up
Hop inside your FLEXiSKiP (go on, we know you want to), lift all four sides up, then fold one side out and down over itself.
Ready to Go
Fold out the remaining three sides, pushing out the bottom corners as you go (you’ll be a FLEXiSKiP master before you know it).
Start Filling
Fill your FLEXi up! Make sure all heavy items are below the heavy fill line. Remember, if you’re not filling your FLEXi on your kerb, then only fill it part of the way so it’s not too heavy to move.
Find the Best Place
Once half-full, raise all sides and place within four metres of the kerb, on your property. Also, make sure there are no obstructions like powerlines, driveways and cars. Items left on the kerb outside of the FLEXiSKiP will not be collected. These items may be considered as rubbish illegally dumped on public land and as such, local laws will apply.
Ahhh Perfect!
When full, open the FLEXiSKiP by handel: App to scan the QR code located in the sleeve on your FLEXiSKiP for collection. Then simply sit back and congratulate yourself on a now clean abode while we have it collected within 3 business days. Don’t have a smart phone? No problem, book online or call 1300 344 973
Our FLEXiSKiPs are built tough but, we don’t want you filling them so they are bursting at the seams! If the two long straps can touch each other then you’re good to go but, if not, you might need to order a buddy. Charges may apply to overweight FLEXiSKiPs.

Although we’d love to help you clear away everything, we unfortunately can’t due to certain types of waste being prohibited by law.

WHAT WE WON’T TAKE
A good guideline on what cannot be put in a skip is that if it’s hazardous or harmful, you can’t throw it away. Some items may not be obvious, such as batteries, that’s why we’ve pulled together a list of items you can’t throw away in a skip bin or bag.
Food organics
Any type of food organics (likely to decay, spoil or putrefy) waste are not allowed.
Liquids
Items such as paint, oils, solvents, poisons, chemicals and concrete.
Hazards
This includes asbestos, insulation, empty chemical containers, fibro sheets and tyres.
Construction Material
Construction and Demolition waste such as timber, mixed metals, bricks and pipes.
Batteries
Batteries and mobile phones (car batteries accepted).
Flooring
Such as timber, lino and those ugly retro tiles which have lasted the test of time.

When you order before 3pm your FLEXiSKiP’s will arrive within two business days in a satchel by a local Courier.

During the Bulk Kerbside Collection trial, we encourage all eligible residents to book their collection within 30 days of ordering their FLEXiSKiP.
Heavy waste are materials and items like soil, bricks, large pieces of furniture, tiles etc. whereas light waste refers to your general household and commercial items like boxes, garden clippings, small furniture and appliances.
Our FLEXiSKiP’s are built tough but, we don’t want you filling them so they are bursting at the seams.

When full, open our FLEXiSKiP by handel: App and on the home screen select ‘Scan to Collect’. Then simply scan the QR code, located in the sleeve on your FLEXiSKiP, for collection.

FLEXiSKiP by handel: is committed to recycling and upcycling as much waste as possible. FLEXiSKiP has partnered with BMI, a South East Queensland company to manage the Resource Recovery of all FLEXiSKiPs sold under the Brisbane Bulk Kerbside Trial.
Our Vision is for 100% landfill diversion on all non-hazardous waste collected.
Your FLEXiSKiP must be placed within four (4) metres of the street kerb or driveway and must be within your property boundary.
Remember to also make sure there are no obstructions like powerlines, trees, driveways and cars.
Our truck requires six (6) metres of height to safely collect your bin.
Remember to get all your rubbish in the bin, not all around it. Do not overfill and do not attempt to move your FLEXiSKiP once it is full, as this could lead to personal injury.
Don’t worry. Our delivery partners will leave your FLEXiSKiP in a safe location if you’re not home.
Alternatively, you can just leave a ‘Delivery note’ in the comments when booking.
When your FLEXiSKiP is full and ready for collection, there is no need to be at home either, we will collect it from the kerb within three (3) days of your booking request.
